Finally #FREEIRDORATH

Nach 2 Jahren der politischen Gefangenschaft und Flucht meldet sich die belarussische Fantasy-Folk-Band Irdorath mit ersten persönlichen Worten zurück.

Am 02.08.2021 wurden Band und Crew sowie Freunde der belarussischen Fantasy-Folk-Band Irdorath auf der Geburtstagsparty von Nadzeya Kalach festgenommen und im Foltergefängnis Okrestino inhaftiert.
Im Jahr 2020 beteiligten Sie sich an friedlichen Protesten gegen Gewalt und Gesetzlosigkeit in ihrem Land, indem sie Dudelsackmusik spielten und an „Hofkonzerten“ und Straßenmärschen teilnahmen.
Für 5 der über 20 ursprünglich festgenommenen folgten schwerwiegende Gerichtsprozesse und mehrjährige Haftstrafen.
Am 21.04.2023 wurden final die letzten beiden politischen Gefangenen, die Bandleader Nadzeya und Uladzimir Kalach aus dem Arbeitslager entlassen.
Der Alptraum endete allerdings erst final, als die beiden Anfang Juni erfolgreich aus Belarus fliehen konnten …

Today, at Nadia’s birthday (!!!WooHoo!!!), exactly two years since that dark turning point happened in our life. It is the reason why we choose this symbolic day to start our way back to the real world.

Not so quick as we would like to, but step by step we will be recovered and will come back on stage.

Yes, we have a lot of work, but at the same time, we have a lot of creative ideas and a desire to bring them to life. And with your support we will go through everything.
